Promvie turns a book, or the part of it you choose, into short film scenes. Paste a chapter or a synopsis and Promvie writes it as a screenplay built on your characters and their lines, designs the cast from your descriptions, storyboards each scene and renders it as video in which the characters speak. Authors use it to see a key scene on screen, to make a teaser for a launch, or to pitch a story visually. A whole novel is too long for one pass; the best results come from adapting one chapter or one scene at a time.
Prose and film work differently, and Promvie adapts rather than copies. Inner thoughts become action a camera can see, long speeches become short lines with reactions, and the way you describe a character becomes their portrait and voice. If you would rather adapt it yourself, paste a screenplay instead and your scenes and dialogue are used as written.
Characters are detected from the text with a description you can edit. Match it to the book, then check the portrait. That portrait goes into every scene the character is in, and their voice sample goes with every line they speak, so your heroine looks and sounds the same in chapter one and chapter twelve.
Adapt work you own or hold the rights to. A teaser that promotes your book is commercial use, which needs Director's Choice. The plan also removes the Promvie watermark from exports.
Cost depends on screen time. A one-minute teaser on the Fast preset starts around 720 credits, about $12 at pack prices; Seedance 2.5, the highest-quality model, is 30 credits a second. The script, the cast and the storyboards are free, so you can see the whole adaptation planned before you pay for video.
Type one idea. Promvie writes the script, casts the characters and films the scenes. No experience needed.
