How do I make a movie with Promvie?

Describe your movie in a sentence. Promvie writes the screenplay, detects the characters and draws their portraits, builds storyboards, renders each scene as video with dialogue and sound, and assembles the movie. You can edit any step or let autopilot run the whole pipeline.

How much does Promvie cost?

Promvie is free to start, no credit card needed. Free accounts can start 2 movies a month; any credit pack or Director's Choice removes the limit. Writing a short script (about 1 minute), the cast portraits and the storyboards are free, and a free account gets a free video preview of one scene, with sound; more video needs a credit pack or a subscription. Director's Choice is $29 a month for 2,000 credits, unlimited movies, full-length scripts, series with one cast across every episode, premium models, exports without watermark and up to 25% off credit packs.

How long can a Promvie movie be?

Scenes render as full takes of up to 30 seconds each, longer scenes render in parts that continue from the previous part, and a movie can have as many scenes as your script needs. Most first movies are one to three minutes.

Do the characters look the same in every scene?

Yes. Promvie generates a portrait for each character and uses it as a visual reference for every scene, so faces, clothes and build stay consistent across the movie.

Can I make a series with Promvie?

Yes, on Director's Choice. A series keeps one cast across every episode, with the same faces and voices, and a showrunner plans and produces whole seasons. Free accounts and credit packs make standalone movies.

Which AI video models does Promvie use?

Promvie orchestrates several models rather than one: MiniMax H3 Max, ByteDance Seedance 2.5 and Wan 3.0 Prime for video, GPT Image and Seedream for portraits and storyboards, and large language models for the script. Presets pick the mix for speed, quality, cost or permissiveness.

Can I download and share the movie?

Yes. Export the finished movie as an MP4, share it with a public watch link, or post it to TikTok from the app. Exports carry a small Promvie watermark unless you are on Director's Choice, which exports clean.

Can I use Promvie movies commercially?

Yes, with Director's Choice. Subscribers can use what they make commercially, for example on monetized channels, in ads or for clients, and keep that right for what they made after the subscription ends. Other accounts, including credit pack buyers, are for personal use.

Can an AI agent use Promvie?

Yes. Promvie exposes an API and an MCP server, so tools like Claude, ChatGPT agents and custom scripts can create a movie, run the pipeline and fetch the result. See promvie.com/developers.

Terms of Service

Effective Date: October 26, 2026 (previous versions: October 19, 2026, October 12, 2026, October 9, 2026 and January 7, 2026)

What changed on October 26, 2026: credits spent on a generation that completed are not refundable, whatever the result (section 9).

What changed on October 19, 2026: AI-written scripts are short films of about one minute unless the account has an active Director's Choice subscription; scripts written before this date keep their length (section 9).

What changed on October 12, 2026: commercial use of Generated Content now requires a Director's Choice subscription. Content made after buying a credit pack and before October 12, 2026 keeps commercial use (section 3).

What changed on October 9, 2026: commercial use of Generated Content required a paid account (section 3), and the refund policy states the 14-day subscription refund (section 9).

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Promvie ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service. You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to use this Service.

2. Definitions

"User" means any individual or entity that uses the Service.
"Content" means any text, images, audio, or other materials you provide for generating movies.
"Generated Content" means any images, videos, scripts, or other outputs created by the Service based on your prompts.
"AI Providers" means third-party artificial intelligence services used to generate content, including but not limited to Fal.ai and OpenAI.

3. License

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, Promvie grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Service to generate movies from your prompts.

Director's Choice subscribers may use Generated Content commercially, for example on monetized channels, in advertising or in client work.
Commercial use applies to Generated Content created while the account held an active Director's Choice subscription, and it remains in place after the subscription ends.
All other accounts, including accounts that buy credit packs without a subscription, may use Generated Content for personal, non-commercial purposes only.
Generated Content keeps the license that applied when it was created: content an account created after buying a credit pack and before October 12, 2026 keeps commercial use, and content created before October 9, 2026 keeps the license that applied then.

4. User Obligations

You must provide accurate information and comply with all applicable laws.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
You are solely responsible for reviewing, approving, and verifying all Generated Content before use, publication, or distribution.
You must ensure you have all necessary rights to any Content you upload or use as input.

5. Prohibited Content and Uses

You agree NOT to use the Service to create, upload, or distribute:

Content that infringes any copyright, trademark, patent, or other intellectual property rights
Deepfakes, non-consensual intimate imagery, or realistic depictions of real people without their consent
Content depicting minors in any inappropriate, sexualized, or harmful context
Hate speech, harassment, threats, or content promoting violence against individuals or groups
Sexually explicit or pornographic content
Content promoting illegal activities, terrorism, or self-harm
Misinformation, disinformation, or deceptive content intended to mislead
Spam, malware, or content designed to harm systems or users
Content that violates any applicable law or regulation

We reserve the right to remove any content and suspend or terminate accounts that violate these prohibitions without notice or refund.

6. Content Moderation and User Responsibility

No Pre-Screening: Promvie does not pre-screen, monitor, or review user-generated content or AI outputs before they are created or published. We are a technology platform that provides tools; we do not control or endorse the content created by users.

User Responsibility: YOU ARE SOLELY RESPONSIBLE FOR:

All content you create, generate, upload, or publish using the Service
Ensuring your content does not infringe any third-party intellectual property rights
Obtaining all necessary permissions, licenses, or releases for any content you use as input
Compliance with all applicable laws regarding your content, including copyright, trademark, privacy, and publicity rights
Any claims, damages, or liability arising from your content or its use

Right to Remove: While we do not actively monitor content, we reserve the right (but not the obligation) to remove any content that we become aware of that violates these Terms, and to cooperate with law enforcement when required.

7. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

IMPORTANT: The Service uses artificial intelligence to generate content. AI-generated content may contain errors, inaccuracies, biases, or unintended outputs. You acknowledge and agree that:

AI outputs are not guaranteed to be accurate, complete, or suitable for any particular purpose
You are solely responsible for reviewing and verifying all Generated Content before use
Promvie is not responsible for any consequences arising from your use or publication of Generated Content
AI models may produce unexpected or inappropriate results despite our content filters
The quality and availability of AI generation depends on third-party AI Providers

8. Third-Party Services

The Service relies on third-party providers for AI generation, payment processing, hosting, and other functionality. You acknowledge that:

We are not responsible for the availability, performance, or output of third-party services
Third-party services are subject to their own terms and privacy policies
Service interruptions may occur due to third-party provider issues

When you connect your TikTok, YouTube, or other social media accounts, you agree to comply with their respective terms of service. We are not responsible for content removal, account restrictions, or other actions taken by third-party platforms.

9. Payments, Credits, and Refunds

Use of certain features requires payment of fees or credits. You agree to:

Pay all fees in accordance with the pricing displayed on the Service
Provide accurate billing information
Accept that payments are processed by Stripe

Plan features:

Script length: on accounts without an active Director's Choice subscription, including accounts that buy credit packs, scripts the Service writes are short films of about one minute (at most three scenes). Director's Choice subscribers get full-length scripts. Scripts written before October 19, 2026 keep their length, and you can always write or paste your own text into a scene.

Refund Policy:

Subscriptions: if you ask within 14 days of your first subscription payment, we refund the unused part of that payment. After that you can cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period and the remaining time is not refunded.
Credit packs: credits are delivered immediately and are non-refundable. Credits spent on a generation that fails because of a system error are returned to your balance automatically.
Completed generations: credits spent on a generation that completed are not refundable, whatever you think of the result. AI video generation is not perfect and results vary (see section 7), so a subscription refund covers only the unused part of the payment.
Monthly subscription credits reset each billing cycle. Credits bought in packs do not expire.
Refunds required by applicable law will be honored.

10. Intellectual Property

Our Property: All rights, title, and interest in the Service, including its design, features, and underlying technology, are and will remain the exclusive property of Promvie, Inc. and its licensors.

Your Content: You retain ownership of your original prompts and any Content you upload. As between you and Promvie, you own the Generated Content created from your prompts, subject to:

Any rights retained by AI Providers under their terms
Our license to use your Content to provide the Service
Your compliance with these Terms

By using the Service, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, store, modify, and display your Content solely for the purpose of providing and improving the Service.

11. DMCA and Copyright Claims

We respect intellectual property rights and comply with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). Promvie acts as a service provider under DMCA Section 512 and does not monitor, review, or pre-screen user-generated content.

DMCA Designated Agent: To report copyright infringement, send a DMCA takedown notice to our designated agent at hello@promvie.com with:

Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed
Identification of the allegedly infringing material and its location (URL)
Your contact information (name, address, phone, email)
A statement of good faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner
A statement under penalty of perjury that the information is accurate and you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner
Your physical or electronic signature

Counter-Notification: If you believe your content was wrongly removed, you may submit a counter-notification with your contact information, identification of the removed material, a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the material was removed by mistake, and consent to jurisdiction in Delaware.

Repeat Infringer Policy: We will terminate the accounts of users who are repeat infringers of intellectual property rights. We track DMCA notices and will disable accounts after multiple valid complaints.

12. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. PROMVIE DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE
NON-INFRINGEMENT
ACCURACY, RELIABILITY, OR COMPLETENESS OF AI-GENERATED CONTENT
UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE OPERATION
COMPATIBILITY WITH THIRD-PARTY PLATFORMS

13. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW:

PROMVIE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM
WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR DAMAGES ARISING FROM AI-GENERATED CONTENT, THIRD-PARTY SERVICES, OR YOUR USE OR PUBLICATION OF GENERATED CONTENT

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Promvie, Inc., its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of:

Your use of the Service
Your violation of these Terms
Your Content or Generated Content
Your violation of any third-party rights
Your publication or distribution of Generated Content

15. Dispute Resolution and Arbitration

Informal Resolution: Before filing any formal dispute, you agree to contact us at hello@promvie.com to attempt to resolve the dispute informally for at least 30 days.

Binding Arbitration: Any dispute not resolved informally shall be resolved by binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Commercial Arbitration Rules. The arbitration shall take place in Delaware, USA, or remotely if mutually agreed.

Class Action Waiver: YOU AGREE THAT ANY DISPUTE RESOLUTION PROCEEDINGS WILL BE CONDUCTED ONLY ON AN INDIVIDUAL BASIS AND NOT IN A CLASS, CONSOLIDATED, OR REPRESENTATIVE ACTION. You waive any right to participate in class actions against Promvie.

Exceptions: Either party may seek injunctive relief in court for intellectual property infringement or unauthorized access to the Service.

16. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause or notice, including for violation of these Terms. Upon termination:

Your right to use the Service immediately ceases
We may delete your account and associated data
Unused credits are forfeited unless required otherwise by law
Provisions that by their nature should survive will remain in effect

17. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time by posting the updated Terms on the Service. We will provide notice of material changes via email or prominent notice on the Service. Your continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.

18. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. For matters not subject to arbitration, the exclusive jurisdiction shall be the state and federal courts located in Delaware.

19. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

20. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Promvie regarding the Service and supersede all prior agreements.
