Promvie is an AI movie generator: you type one idea and it writes the script, designs a consistent cast, storyboards every scene, renders the video with sound, and cuts the finished film, in your browser.

How do I make a movie with Promvie?

Describe your movie in a sentence. Promvie writes the screenplay, detects the characters and draws their portraits, builds storyboards, renders each scene as video with dialogue and sound, and assembles the movie. You can edit any step or let autopilot run the whole pipeline.

How much does Promvie cost?

Promvie is free to start, no credit card needed. Free accounts can start 2 movies a month; any credit pack or Director's Choice removes the limit. Writing a short script (about 1 minute), the cast portraits and the storyboards are free, and a free account gets a free video preview of one scene, with sound; more video needs a credit pack or a subscription. Director's Choice is $29 a month for 2,000 credits, unlimited movies, full-length scripts, series with one cast across every episode, premium models, exports without watermark and up to 25% off credit packs.

How long can a Promvie movie be?

Scenes render as full takes of up to 30 seconds each, longer scenes render in parts that continue from the previous part, and a movie can have as many scenes as your script needs. Most first movies are one to three minutes.

Do the characters look the same in every scene?

Yes. Promvie generates a portrait for each character and uses it as a visual reference for every scene, so faces, clothes and build stay consistent across the movie.

Can I make a series with Promvie?

Yes, on Director's Choice. A series keeps one cast across every episode, with the same faces and voices, and a showrunner plans and produces whole seasons. Free accounts and credit packs make standalone movies.

Which AI video models does Promvie use?

Promvie orchestrates several models rather than one: MiniMax H3 Max, ByteDance Seedance 2.5 and Wan 3.0 Prime for video, GPT Image and Seedream for portraits and storyboards, and large language models for the script. Presets pick the mix for speed, quality, cost or permissiveness.

Can I download and share the movie?

Yes. Export the finished movie as an MP4, share it with a public watch link, or post it to TikTok from the app. Exports carry a small Promvie watermark unless you are on Director's Choice, which exports clean.

Can I use Promvie movies commercially?

Yes, with Director's Choice. Subscribers can use what they make commercially, for example on monetized channels, in ads or for clients, and keep that right for what they made after the subscription ends. Other accounts, including credit pack buyers, are for personal use.

Can an AI agent use Promvie?

Yes. Promvie exposes an API and an MCP server, so tools like Claude, ChatGPT agents and custom scripts can create a movie, run the pipeline and fetch the result. See promvie.com/developers.

Pricing, explained

Writing is free. Video costs credits.

Video is the expensive part of an AI movie, so it is the part you pay for. Buy a credit pack when you need one, or subscribe for a monthly allowance. No hidden fees, no per-seat pricing, no annual lock-in.

Free: write your movie and see one scene

Script, cast and storyboards are free, plus a free video preview of one scene. The preview is a short single take of that scene, with dialogue and sound, so you see the real result before you pay anything. Credit packs start at $5. No credit card needed to start.

Director's Choice: for people who make movies often

$29 a month gets you 2,000 credits each billing cycle. That is about 3 minutes of video on the Fast preset, or about 1 minute on Seedance 2.5. You also get unlimited movies, full-length scripts (other accounts get short films of about 1 minute), series (one cast across every episode, and a showrunner that plans and produces whole seasons), exports without a watermark, stronger writing models for your script, and up to 25% off credit packs.

What costs credits

Free: the idea, the script, the cast portraits and the storyboards.
Scene video: the main cost, priced per second of finished video. 12 credits a second on the Fast preset, 30 on Seedance 2.5. Dialogue, ambience and sound effects come with the video at no extra cost.
Image edits: a few credits per image when you ask for changes to an existing image.

The credit price of each action is shown in the studio before you run it, so you can always decide whether it's worth spending.

Billing and plan questions

How does the credit system work?: Credits pay for video. Each second of finished video costs a set number of credits: 12 a second on the Fast preset, up to 30 on Seedance 2.5. The studio shows the price before you run anything.
Do unused credits roll over to the next month?: Starter credits on a free account never expire, and buying a credit pack keeps them. Subscribing to Director's Choice replaces them with the plan's 2,000 monthly credits, and unused plan credits do not roll over. Purchased credit packs never expire.
Is there a refund policy?: If you ask within 14 days of your first subscription payment, we refund the unused part of it. After that, you can cancel at any time and keep access until the end of your paid period. Credit packs are non-refundable, but credits spent on a render that fails on our side come back automatically.
Do I own the movies I create?: Yes. Output you generate with your account belongs to you, subject to the terms of service. Director's Choice subscribers can use their movies commercially; other accounts, including credit pack buyers, can share them for personal use or keep them private.
Are there team or enterprise plans?: Team plans are on the roadmap. If you need multi-seat access today, contact hello@promvie.com and we will work something out.
