Pricing, explained

Simple plans, predictable credits

Promvie is priced around a monthly credit allowance. You never get surprised by a bill — pick a plan, get credits, spend them on generations. If you run out, you can top up or wait for the next cycle. No hidden fees, no per-seat tricks, no annual lock-in.

Free — for trying out and hobby projects

The free plan gives you 100 credits a month and room for two full movies. That's enough to explore the whole pipeline end-to-end, share a few short films with friends, or learn how a good prompt turns into a watchable scene. No credit card required, no trial period — it stays free as long as you want it to.

Director's Choice — for regular creators

At $14.99 a month you get 1,000 credits, unlimited movies, and access to the premium AI model. That's enough to make several short films a month without watching the credit counter, and the higher-end model produces noticeably better footage and character consistency. Most creators on the free plan hit the limit within a week and move up.

What costs credits

Not every step in Promvie costs the same. In rough order, cheapest to most expensive:

  • Script and dialogue generation — a handful of credits for a full screenplay.
  • Storyboard frames — a few credits per frame; they're lightweight because they're static images.
  • Character design — a small one-time cost per named character, reused across the whole film.
  • Soundtrack and SFX — modest per cue.
  • Video shot generation — the biggest single cost, because AI video models are expensive to run.

The credit price of each action is shown inline in the studio before you run it, so you can always decide whether it's worth spending.

Billing and plan questions

How does the credit system work?
Credits are consumed per AI generation. Generating dialogue or a storyboard frame costs very few credits; rendering a full video shot costs more. You can see the credit cost of each action in the studio before running it.
Do unused credits roll over to the next month?
No. Credits reset at the start of each billing cycle. The allowances are sized so you will not run out under normal use.
Can I upgrade or downgrade at any time?
Yes. Upgrades apply immediately with a prorated charge; downgrades take effect at the next billing cycle. You never lose the movies you have already made.
Is there a refund policy?
We refund unused subscription time on request within the first 14 days. After that, you can cancel at any time and keep access until the end of your paid period.
Do I own the movies I create?
Yes. Output you generate with your account belongs to you, subject to the terms of service. You can use the movies commercially, share them on social, or keep them private.
Are there team or enterprise plans?
